Among the sidemen who can be identified in this picture are Les Hite, leading the band; drummer Peppy Prince, to Hite’s left; Marshall Royal, alto sax to the left of the section; probably Charlie Jones, tenor sax; probably Joe Bailey, string bass. Other members of the band who cannot be clearly seen in this lobby card include James “Porter” King, trumpet, and possibly Parker Berry, trombone.
